The Minister for Trade, Investment and Innovation, Ivan McKee is keen to understand more about enabling/emerging technologies in Scotland and has noted Photonics Scotland’s vision to treble the size of the sector in Scotland by 2030 as detailed in our vision paper, Photonics in Scotland: A vision for 2030, published last year.
Scottish Ministers want to learn more about the specific contribution that the Scottish photonics and quantum technology sector is making to the Scottish Economy. This would also be beneficial to the Scottish Government and Enterprise Agencies as they seek to support companies through encouraging foreign direct investment in Scotland, as well as the development of the necessary skills and innovation required to support the development of the sector.
Photonics Scotland has been asked to undertake a baseline survey of its members on behalf of Scottish Government and its enterprise agencies. The information gathered through this short survey will be crucial in informing the focus of future support. It is hugely important therefore that we hear from as many in the sector as possible. This is your opportunity to help shape the Government’s response to our vision to treble the size of the sector.
The survey should take around 15 minutes to complete and all data received will be aggregated and anonymised before any subsequent reporting.
Please note; the survey will close on 11th May

Many thanks,
